When It Rains It Pours

It has often been said and often been heard;
When it rains it pours.
What are we saying here or even accepting? Too many times we use these words to make our situation seem acceptable or easy to manage. It quickly becomes part of our belief system. A belief that "It" is like this, always like this, always will be like this. "It" and "this" being the situation, circumstance or even what you believe about yourself.
So I had a few events happen in my life where those who were witness to my life simply said, "when it rains it pours". Even the officer who gave me the ticket said it. This phrase has been striking me in a way that seems, well wrong, or at least negative. So as I mused over this phrase I realized that this is a statement of defeat and I refuse to be defeated!

New thought;
Why not make the statement a positive one. All you have to do is fill in the blank...

When it rains__________it pours__________.

Example:
When it rains blessings it pours blessings.
When it rains love it pours love.
When it rains peace it pours peace.
When it rains grace it pours grace.
When it rains kindness it pours kindness.
When it rains trials it pours perseverance.
When it rains money it pours money.

If we want to change our belief system we must change what we say. There is power in the spoken word.

Remember keep it positive.

To My Wife, She's Lovely

She is lovely.

She likes the beauty of a sun set,
A sun kissed tree and walks with the pet.

She likes to enjoy a quiet moment by the fire,
A cup of tea and chats with her esquire.

She is lovely…

She likes to go for walks and smell fresh air,
A mountain view and wind in her hair.

She likes the sound of water over rocks,
A boat ride and walks on the dock.

She is lovely…

She likes to be with friends, laugh and smile,
A fun game and hanging out awhile.

She likes to be warm and cozy,
A flannel blanket and something fuzzy.

She is lovely…

She likes to go on a long vacation,
A road trip and enjoying Gods’ creation.

She likes the depth of truth and meaning,
A tenacious prayer and joyous singing.

She is lovely…

She likes the family and being a mother,
A school lesson and loving each other.

She likes big movie box office hits,
A big screen, popcorn and Jr. Mints.

She is lovely…

She likes to be part of the adventure and excitement,
A working shower, sleeping bag and a dry tent.

She likes the colors and smell of fall,
A pumpkin pie, apple cider and college football.

She is lovely…

She likes to be rescued, swept off her feet,
A fighter and a hero who make her heart complete.

He likes all these things about her.
A graceful touch, a heart to stir,
And most of all,
She’s lovely.

Infusion

Infusion: Liquid administered through a drip feed; a solution introduced into the body by infusion. Like an IV drip. (healing)

Act of infusion: The act of soaking something in a liquid in order to extract something soluble.

1.Verb- Infuse: Pervade: To fill something with a strong emotion such as hatred, enthusiasm or desire.

2.Introduce something into somebody’s mind; to fix an emotion, belief, or quality gradually but firmly in somebody’s mind.

3.Steep in liquid: to soak tea or herbs in liquid in order to extract the flavor or some other property.

Infusible: able to be introduced into the body – suitable for soaking in liquid to make an infusion.

I am infusible…
Col.3:15-16
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,…
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hyms and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Healing by an infusion
Changed by an infusion
Renewed by an infusion

Soaking in the spirit of the Lord will extract the flavor or some other properties in our hearts. Steep & go deep in the presence of God. Tea must be served at the proper time, if steeped too long it will become bitter. God is pouring His spirit on all flesh if we hold it in and not serve it to others it is not good to taste.

The heart, like a tea bag, there are spices and the things of God inside, although the stuff is in the bag it cannot be enjoyed unless it steeps in the water. An infusion, that allows the process of change for the benefit of His Kingdom and His Glory.

Lord help us walk in that “thin” place, the place where heaven and earth meet, I want to be infusible.

Password Please

Well here it is my blog on the blogger. The words we use these days, blog, sounds like a title for a B movie horror. Coming Soon... Attack of the Blog, Creature from the black Blog, Gone with the Blog or Blog Wars. I remember, as a boy, having a password was something we used to keep the girls out of our tree house. A special code that separated the elite from the not so elite. If you had the password, you could get in. Of course if the girls found out what the code word was, we simply changed it. Today my life is full of passwords and codes, so many that I keep them in a special place protected by a password.

Life without God would be like life without a special code or password, with out God one can not enter. One can not enter peace, joy, love, abundant life or forgiveness. I have heard it said "We can have all this without God." I say it is impossible without God. I have also heard it said "We can walk a million miles away from God yet we are always one step back to Him." Even if you forget the password there is free access to peace, love and joy. God is always there, admiring his work of art and you are His workmanship, His beauty. You are His glory.

If you are reading this and you are having trouble believing in God, let me challenge you to try and forget about Him. Go ahead, try to forget about the King of the universe. Go ahead, try to forget how He helped you that day when you cried out to Him. Go ahead, try to forget the God who made the sun and the rain. Go ahead, try to forget Him. IF you have trouble forgetting about God, chances are God has you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Now, if forgetting God comes easy for you it is likely that you are not entering into peace, joy or love. You probably have a substitute for love, joy and peace. Jesus said if you drink His water you would never thirst again. So, once you are finished with the substitutes and you need your thirst quenched, remember God loves you and desires a relationship with you.

Remember his forgiveness is for giving. It's for giving you a new start, it's for giving you hope, it's for giving you abundant life. Remember, He gave for you and me.

Don't forget your password,

Jackson
